Roam is a welcoming community cafe and indoor play space in Vauxhall, designed for 0-7 year olds. We offer a safe, engaging environment for children to explore and a relaxing space for parents to connect, chat and unwind.

To keep the play experience calm and safe for everyone, we ask that you book your play session in advance.
Booking Details:
Sessions last 1.5 hours
You need to buy a ticket for every person attending whether they are an adult or a child. Our play space is designed for children ages 0-7: older children may attend but will not be able to use the play frame. This is to protect younger children and ensure it is a safe place for everyone. Pre-crawling babies do not need a ticket. Please change the quantity to the number of tickets you need.
Tickets cost £4.50 per person (or £2.50 with Close to Roam membership)
Our play space is downstairs. We have a lift that can accommodate 1–2 prams at a time but it can be a little slow! If you’d like to use the lift, please arrive 10 minutes before your session so you don’t lose any play time, as there may be a short wait.
Our custom-built soft play frame has been professionally inspected by ROSPA, ensuring the highest standards of safety. Alongside the main play area, we have a dedicated baby zone, free-play toys, and imaginative role-play corners to spark creativity and confidence in little ones.
Parents can enjoy comfortable seating with full visibility of the play space, so you can relax while your children roam free. Our cafe serves speciality coffee, hot and cold drinks, pastries, cakes and affordable kids’ lunches and snacks, all freshly prepared and family-friendly.

With our Close to Roam membership, tickets are £2.50 per person (adults and children). This helps us manage capacity fairly and keep sessions affordable for families, including those with siblings.

To get access to our Close to Roam membership prices, you need to bring a proof of address and we will issue you with a unique discount code for booking. You can either do this before making your first booking (simply pop into the cafe during our opening hours) or you can book a full-price ticket for your first visit, bring your proof of address and we will give you a free hot drink or pastry.
Close to Roam membership must be renewed annually.

We want our play space to be accessible for all families in our local area. We work with a range of partners in Lambeth who refer families to us that would benefit from free play sessions - whether due to financial hardship, mental health challenges or other circumstances.

OUR RULES FOR PLAY:
Roam is for our community, so we need your help to keep it safe, fun, and sustainable for everyone.

All children should be watched by their grown-ups at all times.

Please enjoy only food and drink from Roam (except baby formula) to keep everyone safe. We always aim to offer low-cost options. All food and drink should be consumed at the tables, unless you prefer a takeaway cup with a lid.

Our group limit is 8 people. In-session parties aren’t allowed. Want to host a birthday or special celebration? Get in touch to book a party with us!

No shoes in the play space, clean socks only. Socks are available if you need them.

To prevent our play frame getting damaged and keep everyone safe, please try to ensure that children do not take toys onto the frame.

Please leave prams, coats, and bags in the buggy park. Keep valuables with you, as this area is accessible to everyone using the cafe and toilets.

We use a traffic light system to give you and your little ones a heads-up when the session is ending:
Green = play away!
Amber = 15 minutes left
Red = session finished
When the session ends, please leave promptly to allow time for us to reset for the next session.

You’re welcome to take photos or videos of your own children or group. Always ask permission before capturing others.

Each membership code is unique to the member. Please do not share your code with others. If we suspect codes are being shared or misused, we may suspend or cancel bookings.

If you or your child aren’t well, please reschedule. We’ll be happy to welcome you back when everyone’s feeling better.

We have two toilets with nappy changing facilities, please use the bins provided.
